Tip of the Month

Most employees covered by the Employment Standards Act earn two weeks of vacation with pay after each 12 months of employment. This 12-month period is called the "vacation entitlement year". Employees must receive a minimum of four per cent of the "gross" wages (excluding vacation pay) they earned in the vacation entitlement year or stub period for which the vacation is being given.
